KAJIAN NARATIF MARKUS 2:1-12 DAN IMPLIKASINYA BAGI PELAYANAN DIAKONIA JEMAAT GMIT GETSEMANI ASAM TIGA.

Abstract

The narrative of Mark 2:1-12 tells the story of a paralytic who was healed by Jesus. The lame were taken by several people to meet Jesus. There are efforts made by these people. They made such an effort, expecting a healing that the lame man had gained from Jesus. In reviewing this text, the author uses the method of narrative interpretation.  The interesting thing about this narrative is that healing begins with the remission of sins. This is the point of conflict where Jesus' forgiveness of sins was considered strange by the scribes who were opposing figures. In addition to studying this text using narrative methods, there are also studies using historical criticism methods to understand about the world of mark's gospel story, and some words in the Greek text. In church life, the ministry performed by the church is the embodiment of God's mission in this world. The Church exists to express God's love for the world. God's love is manifested by the service of love towards the congregation or better known as diakonia. The church does not stop at communion (koinonia), testimony (marturia), stewardship (oikonomia), and the system of worship (liturgy). Rather, the church embodies all of that in the act of helping the congregation (diakonia).
