Tulisan ini adalah sebuah kajian terhadap buku Intercultural Marriage: A Pastoral Guide to the Sacrament karya Simon C. Kim dan Ricky Manalo, CSP (Paulist Press, 2022) dalam wacana teologi dan praksis pastoral kontemporer. Melalui pendekatan naratif – etnografis dan refleksi teologis yang serius, buku ini hadir dengan paradigma baru untuk memahami dan merayakan pernikahan dalam konteks sosial global yang majemuk. Penulis buku berusaha mengungkapkan bagaimana pendekatan interkultural dipakai sebagai pendekatan yang dikembangkan dari model multikultural, serta bagaimana cultural humility dimanfaatkan dalam pendampingan pasangan nikah lintas budaya. Tulisan ini juga mengkaji kekuatan dan keterbatasan buku serta mengusulkan implikasinya bagi gereja lokal dan pendidikan teologi.
